Fu Ceramics

Salina Fu (she/her) is a Chinese American ceramicist based in New York City.

Fú means blessing and good fortune in Chinese. Beyond naming her work after this meaningful character, it is also a tribute to Salina’s family. While the characters are different, the pinyin for 福 is spelled the same as her last name.

The Lo Lo Tong is named by Salina's mother. It means to be without barriers on any path you take. This has remained a core piece in every collection.

Fu Ceramics acknowledges the land it's based on to be the homeland of the Lenape (Lenapehoking) who were violently displaced as a result of European settler colonialism.
