Salina Fu (she/her) is a Chinese American ceramic artist based in New York City.
The name Fu (福) translates to blessing and good fortune. Beyond its significance in naming her work, it serves as a heartfelt tribute to her family. While the characters differ, the pinyin mirrors her family name, connecting her art to her heritage.
The Lo Lo Tong (路路通), named by Salina's mother, serves as both a talisman and a wish for all who wear it—to move through life without barriers, no matter the path they take. This symbol of possibility and hope has become a cornerstone of every collection she creates.
Fu Ceramics acknowledges the land it's based on to be the homeland of the Lenape (Lenapehoking) who were violently displaced as a result of European settler colonialism.
